Glencadam 21 YO

As I have told you a couple of times before: A good friend was chocked when he saw my score for Glencadam 15 YO. This chock resulted in me getting samples of Glencadam 10 YO, 12 YO, 14 YO, 15 YO and 21 YO. Lucky me!

Glencadam distillery is located in the region Highland in Scotland.

I have already shared my thoughts of the 10 YO, the 12 YO, the 14 YO and the 15 YO. Today it is time for the 21 YO. It is bottled at 46 ABV.

Gentle on the nose. Vanilla and fudge. Some sparkling notes. Ginger beer! Warm and spicy. Nutmeg and butter. Almost like the smell of the cinnamon rolls dough! Vanilla and fudge on the palate as well. Quite sweet this one – and spicy. Ginger, mint and nutmeg. Dry on the finish and quite short. Some ginger notes. Very nice! I like this one.

My score: nose 22 / taste 21 / finish 20 / balance 21 =84

Thanks, David!
