Jameson Distillery was established by John Jameson in 1780 on Dublin’s Bow Street. Jameson Crested is a tribute to the first whiskey Jameson bottled themselves in 1963. This is what they say about the whiskey:

True to our mark of triple distilled smoothness, Jameson Crested – a vivid blend of Pot Still and grain whiskeys – stands tall with unmistakable sherry undertones and understated notes of fruit, spice, and chocolate. Putting your name to something implies confidence, but a family crest speaks volumes.
From September 2017 Jameson Crested was made available in Norway at NOK 429,90. The whiskey is approximately 8-10 years old and contains both sherry and bourbon matured casks, mainly sherry. It is bottled at 40 ABV.
Sweet on the nose, like Irish whiskey usually is. It smells like candy, maybe candy with fruit flavor. I get peach and the smell from the stone of the peach! Some spices join in. I get ginger and white pepper. After a while it changes towards dust and cardboard. The palate is warm and spicy. White pepper, cardamom and nutmeg. Sweet and fruity as well. Caramel and fudge. The finish is dry at first. Then it becomes sweet with the taste of peach, sugar syrup and white pepper. Not complex. This was certainly a nice surprise. A well-balanced whiskey.
