I had a lovely visit at Underbar at Aker brygge in Oslo earlier this year (read about my visit). The bartender served me some whiskies blind. Tasting blind is the best way to taste a whisky!
The whisky turned out to be a Talisker. A Talisker Distillers Edition from 2015, distilled 2005. It is bottled at the usual (for Talisker) 45,8 ABV. This edition has been given an Amoroso finish. It is available in Norway at NOK 669,90.
Sweet on the nose with a lot of berries. Gentle smoke. Dusty. Blackcurrant. Very rich. Rich smoke on the palate and very smooth at the same time. Caramel, berries and spices. A bit salty as well, but not the way Talisker often is. On the finish I got dessert made of prunes with sugar and cream added. It reminds me of my grandmother. White pepper rounded off the taste.
My score: nose 22 / palate 23 / finish 22 / balance 22 = 89

This one is really good, as was the Lagavulin DE, but even better was Talisker DE 2014 (the year before).
I will have to look for DE 2014, then! Haven’t tasted that one 😉 Only the 2006 and 2009 Editions.
