I have tasted many lovely whiskies from Amrut Distillery in India. My latest review is of Amrut Spectrum.
Amrut Indian Cask Strength is part of their core range. They do not reveal any details about this whisky, except the ABV being 61,8, but you can read the tasting notes from the distillery here.
Well, this is what I think:
Very fruity and spicy on the nose. Honey melon, papaya and pineapple. Warm and soft. Brown candy sugar, chocolate fudge and milk chocolate. White pepper, ginger and lemon peel. Sweet fruitiness on the palate. Still honey melon and pineapple. Sweet, red plums and baked, red apples. The finish is buttery and nutty. Fudge, dark chocolate and ginger beer.
My score: nose 23 / taste 22 / finish 21 / balance 22 = 88
